Capture the Future: Support Youth Photography Classes

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR YOUTH 12–18 years of age

Just imagine a world where the youth are empowered not by TV, video games, and phones but by the beauty of the world around them. A world where students from 12 to 18 years old can escape the digital diversion and immerse themselves in nature, armed not with a cell phone but with a camera that captures moments, stories, and dreams. This vision is at the heart of our Youth Photography Classes, an initiative designed to inspire, educate, and uplift young minds through the art and discipline of photography.

This is a program designed for youth ages 12 to 18 years old. We will explore a variety of ranches and parks in the great state of Texas to learn the fundamentals of digital photography, covering composition techniques, editing, and lens usage. We will have cameras for use by the students in the event they do not have one.

Where will the classes take place?

Our venue will include the Rob and Bessie Wildlife Foundations, Jones Alta Vista Ranch, and state and national parks. We will be adding more locations soon. Workshops will include lodging, food, a camera if needed, and qualified instructors. All staff will have criminal background checks done before participating with our youth.

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT TO THE STUDENTS?

They will learn the basics of photography, mastering exposure, editing their images, and experimenting with different compositions and subjects. This hands-on learning experience will use engaging outdoor activities.
